Sales and Marketing Manager

The Byrne Hotel Group is looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager for our 3 Galway hotels. As the Group Sales & Marketing Manager you will be responsible for maximizing our sales potential and for achieving revenue budgets. You will handle the long-term planning and day to day operations of the Sales & Marketing function. You will work with the leadership team across the hotels to create marketing and sales strategy, plans and budgets.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the hospitality industry, be pro-active and have a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor the annual Sales and Marketing Plan for the Salthill Hotel, Victoria Hotel and Eyre Square Hotel.
• Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on marketing plans and promotions.
• Agreeing and monitoring departmental sales action plans.
• Manage key accounts in MICE, DMCs, Tour Operators and agents in domestic and global markets.
• Focus on maximising revenue opportunities from existing accounts
• Represent the hotel at shows, trade events and sales trips in a professional manner.
• Identify, research and secure appointments with new accounts and agents both nationally and internationally.
• Advertise and promote the hotels and their facilities, analyse the effectiveness of campaigns.
• Develop and organize promotional activities for all hotels
• Have a good understanding of the competitive market and carry out regular SWOT analysis
• Inform company directors and leadership teams on current market trends and conditions
• Develop and maintain a good relationship with external stakeholders such as media and other booking avenues.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that all external activity is communicated internally and that internal markets are maximized.
• Represent the Byrne Hotel Group at industry events
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to oversee reputation management in particular with reviews on TripAdvisor, social media, etc.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior Sales & Marketing role
• Experience in the hotel industry a plus
• Proactive Hotel Sales experience in a target driven sales environment with proven track record of sales
• Experienced in sales at both operational and management levels
• Excellent levels of personal motivation and organisation, strong multi-tasking ability
