Cluster Sales & Marketing Manager – Maldron Hotel Oranmore & Maldron Hotel Sandy Road

We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Cluster Sales & Marketing Manager working between Maldron Hotel Oranmore & Maldron Hotel Sandy Road

Objective of the Role

In this dynamic and challenging role, the Cluster Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for devising the sales strategy through leadership to maximise the sales potential and achieving revenue budgets to include bedrooms, meeting rooms, bar, restaurant & Club Vitae as relevant as revenue channels for both hotels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales & marketing function to ensure maximum revenue & profitability and provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service

Plan & implement annual marketing expenditure per hotel focussing on overall business

Executive quarterly activity plans to create focus for the team and adapt activity to support business needs of each hotel

Develop and nurture relationships with key corporate clients through ongoing account management

Perform day to day sales activity including face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade events, client entertainment and overseas sales trips. Client entertaining/site inspections may require evening & weekend hours.

Develop and nurture client relationships within the small meetings segment

Report monthly on account performance to General Managers and Central Office

Utilisation of Alkimii CRM for logging all sales activity & measurement of KPI’s

Weekly & Monthly monitoring of GDS business and completion of all relevant RFP’s

Input to hotel pricing strategy and forecasting with General Managers and Revenue Managers

Manage hotels advertising & promotional campaigns

Manage online marketing & brand website through content development and continually driving customers direct to this sale channel

Attend Group consumer and trade promotions as required and schedule relevant individual promotions for the hotel

Produce hotel printed promotional material including brochures, flyers, special offers, posters, tent cards etc. as required, always following Group brand guidelines

To protect and promote the image of Maldron Hotels and Dalata Hotel Group brands at all times, both in print and verbally

Provide assistance to F&B, Club Vitae and Spa teams with necessary sales & marketing activity

Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity

To be fully aware of the main market developments and other factors that would influence business or create favourable market conditions.

Develop a customer centric sale focus across the hotel team

Requirements:
2 to 3 years in a Sales/Marketing role, ideally in a Hotel or customer focused environment.

A creative thinker, sales focused with an outgoing personality who can drive new relationships as well as maintain existing ones.

Experience of effective people management in a team environment.

Effective communicator to clients and colleagues, individually and in groups; with the capacity to provide clear written reports.
